A simple question

Post by bam bam »

How is Mike Bell able to find a hole and pick up yardage and Reggie Bush gets clobbered two yards behind the line of scrimmage?

There's two type of football being played in the country now. The real stuff we play down in the South, upper Midwest, and East Coast, and then there's that feminine football they now play in the West Coast. The debutantes make their coming out in the PAC 10 and then "try" and step up into the real world.

Bell runs north and south.

Bush runs east and west.

The league has caught up with Bush's speed, so it's harder for him to turn the corner.

You don't have to run north, south, east or west to actually catch a punt.

The league did not catch up to his speed. It was way ahead of his speed before he ever "arrived"

I think he is great. He is just over playing everything he does. If he would chill and go with the flow, he would be the best in the league. I do not understand why he is only doing punt returns (which he obvioulsy forgot how to catch lately) and not kickoff returns. Dion Sanders had Atlanta starting on the 40+ on just about every kickoff. Notice how Brees worked the first two possessions today at 40+ for two quick TD's, then stumbled on the next two or three inside the 20.

Wake up Reggie. He even said on TV interview tonight he was booing himself (after being asked about being booed today).

He knows...but it leads to overplaying. He should just play...good things will happen.

He looked good on the last drive when the game was over...
