No, No....It's just one of those humor emails that goes around the net. I got it twice already and I'm sure some on this board have seen it too.

I wish I were that artistic. I'm a 100% leftbrained engineer.

But to be honest, it does remind me of a few Halloweens in my younger days.

I used to always make a big pot of chili, served with tortillas, cilantro, sour cream... and a big pitcher of Sangria (sangre = blood after all!)
Since moving here, we always get costumed up and head out and about, so I don't usually make anything.

Does anyone else recall getting satsumas in lieu of halloween candy? The first satsumas ripen at the end of October...we always liked getting 'em. And popcorn balls, pralines, and peanut butter fudge still rule in rural areas. As my mama always said, if you don't know someone well enough to eat their homemade food, you shouldn't be trick-or-treating at their house. Granted, we did live in the country.

Yes! How could I forget satsumas! And peanut butter fudge too! Popcorn balls & cupcakes. Well, that's what my mama made & I was happy with that! But yes, we would get satsumas from some people.
Makes you miss the old days, eh?

And your Schwegmann's bag came pre-printed with a Halloween design...

Our family would get together and make caramel apples, popcorn balls and taffy, all home made.

One of the neighbors would decorate their entrance and front room to look like a crypt and have all of the kids dunk for apples. Man that was tough!
